Torilynne Hetrick

Therapy Intern

Torilynne Hetrick is a graduate-level intern at Spero Group, currently completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Pennsylvania Western University. Under the supervision of licensed clinicians, she provides therapy to individuals and families. Torilynne brings a warm, nonjudgmental presence to her work and supports clients in navigating anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions. She is passionate about helping clients build healthy coping strategies and emotional resilience. Her clinical experience includes work at Clarion Psychiatric Center with individuals experiencing acute mental health challenges.  

Sue Trimble

Office Manager

 Sue Trimble has served as Spero Group’s Office Manager since 2022. She brings decades of experience in both administrative and healthcare roles, including 25 years as the Athletic Secretary and Bookkeeper at Redbank Valley High School and 14 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Sue plays an essential role in the daily operations at Spero and is known for her kindness, reliability, and commitment to making every client and team member feel supported and cared for.

Kyle Hicks

M.Ed.

Kyle Hicks holds a Master of Education degree in School Counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and has completed additional post-master’s studies, including Principal Certification. He is currently pursuing licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Kyle works with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults, including individuals with disabilities. His counseling approach combines reality therapy and person-centered principles, encouraging clients to take ownership of their growth through authentic connection and self-reflection. Kyle values advocacy, communication, and empowerment, and is particularly passionate about supporting male clients in building confidence and personal insight.

Kara Raybuck

LPC, RPT

 Kara Raybuck is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist dedicated to providing compassionate, developmentally appropriate care to children, families, and individuals. She is also trained in EMDR therapy, integrating both modalities to support healing from trauma and promote resilience and well-being. Kara is deeply committed to improving access to quality mental health care and advocates for trauma-informed environments in schools. She works closely with educators and families to reframe behavioral challenges as opportunities for connection, empathy, and growth. Her work reflects a deep belief in the power of supportive relationships and the inherent potential for healing in every individual.

Jocelyn Rankin

LAPC

Jocelyn Rankin is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) and holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. She is currently working toward full licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Jocelyn is trained in EMDR and uses a person-centered, strengths-based approach. She is passionate about helping individuals heal from trauma, embrace personal growth, and rediscover their sense of wholeness. Her therapeutic work is rooted in the belief that everyone has the capacity for restoration and that healing begins in a space where clients feel seen, safe, and supported.

Jess Chapman

Counselor

Jess Chapman is a counselor at Spero Group and holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from PennWest University. She has experience in multiple settings, with a primary focus on supporting children and adolescents. Jess works in school-based counseling and is currently pursuing her LPC licensure. Her therapeutic style incorporates person-centered practices, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients develop emotional awareness, regulation skills, and positive coping strategies.

Jennifer Arbuckle

LSW

Jennifer Arbuckle is a Licensed Social Worker and Certified School Social Worker with over 23 years of experience in education and over five years in clinical mental health practice. She is trained in EMDR and utilizes a person-centered, strengths-based approach to support healing and resilience. Jennifer’s work is grounded in the belief that emotional well-being and learning are interconnected. She creates compassionate, nonjudgmental spaces where individuals feel empowered to explore growth and transformation. Her approach emphasizes connection, emotional safety, and the belief that even small steps toward healing can create lasting change.

Dr. Jessica Cosby

LPC, RPT-S

Dr. Jessica Cosby joined Spero Group in 2025, bringing over two decades of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor. She is a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, an Advanced Clinical Supervisor, and a Level One EMDR-trained therapist. Jessica also serves as a counselor at PennWest Clarion and as an adjunct instructor at Carlow University. At Spero Group, Jessica supports school-based mental health initiatives and offers limited appointments to community members. She is also developing continuing education opportunities in partnership with other local professionals, with a focus on expanding play therapy services throughout Western Pennsylvania. Jessica lives in Clarion with her husband and son, and enjoys spending time in nature, particularly along the Clarion River.

Becca Van Selow

LAPC

Becca Van Selow is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) in Pennsylvania. She earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (2020) and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2023) from Shippensburg University. Becca is actively pursuing full licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Her clinical training includes play therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), allowing her to support clients across the lifespan in developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed ways. Becca takes a client-centered and strengths-based approach, meeting individuals where they are and empowering them to build upon their existing resilience. Becca is passionate about walking alongside her clients as they explore healing, foster growth, and create meaningful, lasting change in their lives.

Angie Shirey

LCSW

Angie Shirey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience working with adults, older adolescents, and couples. She is an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist and is also certified in Relational Life Therapy. Angie holds a BA in English from Shippensburg University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in trauma-informed care, combining EMDR, relational techniques, and a belief in each person’s innate capacity for insight and change. A veteran of the United States Army, Angie welcomes clients from all backgrounds and offers a safe, affirming space for healing and growth.

Amy Whitney

LPC

Amy Whitney is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a background in both physical and mental health care. Prior to entering the counseling field, Amy spent 16 years as a Physical Therapist Assistant. She earned her Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University and completed her clinical training at Clarion Psychiatric Center. Amy has served in various therapeutic roles including Behavioral Specialist, Mobile Therapist, and Outpatient Therapist. Her approach integrates somatic-based practices, mindfulness, EMDR, and polyvagal-informed techniques to support healing of both the mind and body. Amy works with children, adolescents, and families, offering a holistic, trauma-informed approach to care.

Amanda Gregory

LSW

Amanda is a Licensed Social Worker who specializes in working with children and adolescents. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University and her Master’s in Social Work from Pennsylvania Western University. Since joining Spero Group in 2022, she has provided therapy to children and teens ages 3–17. Amanda holds advanced certification in Synergetic Play Therapy (SPT), a neurobiologically-informed, trauma-responsive approach grounded in attachment theory. Her areas of focus include trauma, attachment issues, aggression, parental separation, anxiety, mood disorders, and life transitions. Amanda is committed to creating a warm, supportive space where children feel seen and empowered, and where parents feel heard and supported.

Alena Kupchella Gourley,

LCSW, CCHt

Alena Kupchella Gourley is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist who supports individuals and families across the lifespan. Her areas of expertise include grief, trauma, religious abuse, suicidal ideation, eating disorders, chronic health conditions, and parent–child dynamics. Alena integrates mind-body healing through modalities such as hypnotherapy, mindfulness, and somatic awareness. Her sessions are designed to soothe the nervous system, reframe limiting thought patterns, and restore emotional balance. In addition to office-based and walk-and-talk therapy near the Redbank Rail Trail, Alena also teaches and mentors others in the art of hypnotherapy as an NGH Instructor.
