Breath & Intention
Getting back into a routine after the holidays hasn’t been easy this year. The slower pace that I enjoyed during the time off from work has made the mornings seem so early. The goals that I set for the new year seem to be shrinking away from me now that I am getting back into the fold of regular life and I want to hold onto them.
This week, as we head into the first full week of the New Year, I am going to remind myself that breath and intention are my friends. To breathe when feeling overwhelmed or tired. To allow my mind and body to recalibrate to the return to regular life. To focus on my intention for every day and for every task.
By focusing on intention, I hope to balance the big picture with the smaller steps that it takes to get there. To gently remind me that the real living happens in these smaller steps.
